Amy Green is a proud descendant of the Worimi and Biripi Nations on the East coast of Australia. She is a contemporary artist whose work is deeply rooted in culture, family, community, and connection to Country. As a member of the Gathering language group, she has completed a Certificate III in Aboriginal languages, Gathang, further strengthening her commitment to preserving and sharing her heritage.
With a passion for art and cultural education, Amy plays a vital role in Early Childhood learning, imparting knowledge and fostering a deep appreciation of Aboriginal traditions among the younger generation. Her creative practice is inspired by family, the landscapes of her ancestors and the interconnectedness of people and place. Through her work she weaves stories that reflect the strength and vibrancy of her community while celebrating the enduring legacy of First Nations cultures.
Amy’s artistic journey is a testament to the power of storytelling, language, and identity. She continues to inspire and uplift others, ensuring that the beauty and significance of Aboriginal culture remains alive and thriving for generations to come.
